What are the best changing color solar lights rechargeable batteries? Actually, I just used normal AA batteries. Most of the changing color solar lights actually comes with the batteries. Mine definitely did but I change them after a couple of months because I found better ones. Here is the list of what I think are the best rechargeable batteries.

First there is the hybrid Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) cells. Unlike most of the rechargeable batteries, they are already fully charged that you can use out of the box. More importantly, these batteries can hold their power over long period of time. As a result, they are quite perfect for low drain items like solar lights because they don’t need much recharging.

Another interesting brand is Eneloop Rechargeable Batteries by Sanyo. Sanyo says Eneloops can be recharged up to 1000 times, and they will retain their charged capacity even after 6 or 12 months of storage. (According to Sanyo the specs are: 90% of charged capacity retained after 6 months, and 85% capacity after 12 months at 20 degree Celsius).

In terms of prices, both are slightly more expensive than your normal rechargeable batteries but over the long run, they are worth the money. Considering that you will spend less time recharging them, I rather spend more on them.

That is all for this post on changing color solar lights rechargeable batteries.
